So about this at the moment the BBPB is on sale for 99 dollars for their workers is a matter of time before they make it 99 for the public, in the end its going to end? up like the hp touchepad. not that I mind I sold my pad for 230 when i bought it for 99, so im going to make sure I buy a few BBPB's and make some money :).

I'll try to be fast: Size is personal preference. some love it, some? hate it. The TouchPad was bing sold at $99 because it failed to do so at any other price, hence HP killing it. So far, reports of PlayBook sales vary from ok to very good (unlesss you're a BGR truebeliver), making it far from dead. Android is good but not for everybody. QNX is a far better OS anyway, just new to the mobile neighborhood. The PlayBook will get PIM with OS 2.0. Don't buy one, nobody said you should.

The BB PB? is to small and over priced. At 99 dollars or even 200 the BB is dead in the water. I actually like the Web OS interface a lil more than Honey comb, but at more than 250 I won't look at either Ill go with the tried and true Android, but for a second Ill go with the TP just becuase I will never use a BB Phone so I wont get any PIM software without it on the PB.

oh and since the xoom has a build in HDMI and USB port you can easily turn it into a pc and use a keyboard and tv and for the ipad 2 you can do the same but the converter is 43bucks!! and thats not including the cables so thats alot of money!! for me i bought a HDMI cable for 5 bucks and a USB converter to a full size for a buck lol. so i spend 6 or 7 bucks rather? then 43 without the cables lol i'm just saying why the xoom is better for students, but if it was in general lol oh man!!

oh and you kinda need a personal pc to manage? the ipad or sync things while the xoom, you really dont need to. so if a student doesnt have any pc at all their not screw. for example you need itunes to manage your songs on the ipad for the xoom you can download torrents and use a file manger change/move or edit songs on the tablet so a pc is not required :) this goes with any files. i have a ipod touch and a xoom so i know ios since it came out in 07 and android is kickass!!

students need something thats cheap in price so the xoom is 500 for a 32GB model and capable of another 32gb. for office apps. you can download paid apps for free on the xoom without hacking it so you save lots of money. the ipad if you wanna get free apps its way more of a process to do it and you need a pc to do it while the xoom you can do it in 5 mins or less. i say the xoom is better for students cause its cheaper, better hardware, expandable and? free apps without a struggle.

a new xoom wifi is 500 bucks for a? 32GB model while a ipad is 500 for a 16GB or 600 for a 32GB and the memory isnt expandable so you are stuck with what you get and for the xoom i can stick in a 32gb card in it & its capable of 4G and nothing in apple products even has 4G. the ipad 2 has a camera of 0.7MP no autofocus or no flash and students use cameras to take pics of books or notes while the xoom has a 5MP with auto focus and dual flash. the xoom is cheaper and expands more.

Motorola Xoom is a better Tablet for students for one main reason and that reason is on most apps that have to do with productivity, I don't have to open the app to view my notes, email, calender, etc, etc and its all on one home screen or others. With the IPAD, you have to open an icon to view the app that has your documents. You can't even call? the Ipad a tablet because it doesn't serve as one. Motorola is the prime example for a tablet due to the interactive widgets.

The price drop doesn't change the points mention in this video. You mentioned that the Xoom has? a real browser. I've never mentioned the browser in this video being a key point of why the iPad is better for students. You're missing my point and taking it as a iPad is better than Xoom video, which that's not the case because its all a matter of opinion when it comes to who has the better OS and device.

When it comes to students, price is important. The Motorola Xoom is expensive and would be considered too expensive in students eyes with a $800 price tag. (And for the people that will say you can get it for $600? with a contract, you still come out paying more in the long run, so we'll just run with the $800 tag). $800 vs $500/$400. Why pay that premium pricetag for a device that has way less tablet apps ready? iPad is just a better option for students, Right Now.

Everything you mentioned is possible on an Android device. You can write documents, notes, read pdfs/books, check your calendar/switch beteewn different calendars etc. But you also have the option to have all these at your homescreen, you can check when the next class is, you can have different notes etc without leaving the homescreen. I can't see anything in? your video that you can do on an iPad that you can't do on Android.
