Theoretically it should help increase your bike performance to a small degree because it retains heat energy in the exhaust system. Higher exhaust energy=higher exhaust speed = better flow = better performance due to scavenging gains. So now it's? not purely cosmetic, enjoy!

well, it was my first time, and i needed the pieces i cut to be longer than the simple formula they gave by at least a foot, and make sure you soak em? in water for a while before trying to wrangle them into pisition, way easier to work with..good luck and thank. its not really that hard, just keep it tight while you go down the tube.
