This is a 2006 mustang GT Conv, that we added a mix of two Cervini body kits. The hood is a Cervini Ram Air, the front bumper is from their C300 kit and the side skrits and rear bumper is from the Stalker body kit.

Yes its a vert. The car is actually back in the shop right now getting some stripes and we're putting in the Cervini's roll bar and back seat covers.? Also building some custom all metal vented fenders and repainting parts of the body that weren't painted when this video was taken. Should be done in a week.

Not really. If it's at VERY low rpms, it will want to but you just have? to either feather the clutch or or just acclerate a tad. And Im talking only ar 1200 to 1400 rpms so its a very small window. I drove the car for 30 mins after the install and figured it out quick how to keep it from bucking. Very easy to avoid.

I never looked at the nut very close, but was wondering how they worked, in terms of "locking" Installed a new set with the hub assembly, but. unfortunately the noise I had was not related to the hubs/bearings :-( They had 90K miles on them, so no regrets as to changing them. My car is currently up at Griggs Racing, because I think the? pinion bearing is pretty much my last hope and going to get a new set of gears anyway, as the original installer (prior to my owning car) ended up with a howl.

- the 'one time use' nut? is a relatively thin nut with a fine cut on one flat side - think of slicing a donut 1/4" through to the hole in the center. This cut goes into the threaded area. So when you tighten the nut to the recommended torque, the 'cut;' area collapses, affectly like a lock washer. However, it is by design 'one time use'. Yes - I'm old school too - my wife's 91 Mustang uses the REUSEABLE cotter pin or at least cheaply replaced cotter pin.

Thanks for a nice little instruction vid. I think my passenger one is bad, as I have ruled out everything else. I will change both this week. I was a? litlte confused by the look of the "one time" use nut. I am old school and used to a cotter pin through them. This just has this metal shield over the nut and not sure how it "locks" into place. Guess I will figure it out once I get it removed and take a closer look.

Sounds great!!! Drone?! I drive an 06 GT with Shelby mufflers! They sound awesome! I bought my bf the SLP loudmouth for his 2011 5.0. A cop pulled up and gave us the thumbs up. Dropped it? down a gear and floored it for them. Check out my bfs vids with the SLP's. Best decision ever made. And fuck all these Honda people, haha I drive an 06 and the last one I raced, their engine blew and I was going 45 mph. Fucking stupid. Lol thanks for the comparison!

I did 4 runs, watching with video editing software my best was around 5.5 seconds. a few weeks later I installed 4.1 ratio final drive gears which improved acceleration dramatically. I brought the car back to the UK with me and have since traded it for a 911, it has GT?? USA plate on it, wonder who has it now.....

I did, and it didn't help? the trumpeting much. I decided to add the pro chamber, and it made the tone deeper, and took away the trumpeting. I would keep it the way you have it now. You would probably quiten it down too much with both the pro chamber and hi flow cats.

Just an update...I sold this car last year, and I am now driving a 2011 FX2 F150. Car? is now in Wisconsin. When it left Alabama, I had removed the FRPP Stingers and ARH Hpipe, and installed MAC exhaust and MAC prochamber. Less popping, cracking, and trumpeting. Had a deeper note, but still just as loud.

I don't know because I have never had my car dyno'd. I would say that it is minimal though because I did not do a re-tune. AEM's website gives you the projected HP gains with or without a re-tune. It also depends on a lot of other variables such as other upgrades you may have done. I chose this kit because it did not require a tuner, I liked the looks and I liked that it was a dry filter kit. I'm very? satisfied with it.

It is what it is and I did not retune the engine and it did not trip the PCM. I'm well aware that I CAN retune the PCM for better performance. Every CAI I have seen requires a re-tune. The engines "Spanish Oak" computer sys. can make adjustments on its on to accommodate for small changes, but the addition of a CAI will usually through off the tune of the engine.? One of the main purposes of a CAI is to enlarge the diameter of the inlet tube for greater air flow. Unless you go to a larger dia. inlet, you are wasting you time.

If the mass air flow sensor housing changes dia., it MUST be re-tuned. Even if the housing size is the same, it still needs re-tuning to adjust the air/fuel mixture. Unless you go to a larger size housing on the intake, you will not p/u much in? the way of power. Even with a throttle body spacer that kit w/o a tune would only p/u 5-10whp tops. A larger housing, custom tune, and throttle body spacer would p/u about 30-35whp and with 93+oct fuel up to 45whp. depending on the dia. of the housing.

Thanks! No power increase having the Shaker, it's all cosmetic. Rain is no issue, the rear of the scoop is no longer ducted to the air filter. Even if it was, I doubt any water? would ever reach the filter. No tickets.. ha!! ...knock on wood.

I hope that you are either a producer or in the advertising industry. If you are not, you should be. This is a GREAT video with awesome use of both video and stills. I have literally been watching it all day and enjoying every minute of it. You could sell speed parts hand-over-fist with that "bad ass GT" flying throught the video like that. I have been pretty much talking myself into trading in my anemic 4 cylinder 2007 Ford Fusion (don't worry, there are a few Steeda goodies on it) for a 2008 Mustang GT. I haven't owned a V8 Mustang in 15 years (my? last Mustang was an 1988 X-FHP Mustang which was pretty awesome but nothing like your car) and I think it is about time!
