That makes sense for some things. But for the things like spears, mounted combat, etc? Honestly, there's no excuse for them not to have been in the game. If they were able to get it to what is shown in the video in just? a week, then surely it could have been added. As it stands, Mount & Blade is still the only game I know of with good mounted combat. And that's an indie game.

extra in game content on release wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference. OR can you honestly tell me you know approximately 50 million people who would have bought Skyrim if adoption would have already been in the game? Sorry dude, but your premise is ridculous on all counts. Even if by working this way, they could have made Skyrim significantly better, the increase sales would not? have been substantial. Skyrim did about as well in sales as it ever could.

I'm begging you to explain the logic behind that statement. First off, if all they did all the time is run wild with design, they wouldn't have a coherent game. Second of all, Skyrim DOES work, sure it has its faults, but every game does, plus making a bugless game in? a complete open world like Skyrim is near impossible. Third, if they ran wild, there would be significantly more problems, making the game entirely broken. Fourth, how would it have made them 10x more money? Having this stuff as

a lot of time. What we saw here, this stuff is just short demo reel stuff, enough to demo what *could* happen or? be added, but not actually in full working order and completely balanced. I get why people think this stuff should be ready to go, it LOOKS it, but the actual work is significantly more involved than people realize. Give em a break, the game they gave you is already astonishingly good, plus, they're making the game they want to make, not just trying to please everyone.

for Skyrim. But now Skyrim has been released, perhaps they'll decide to use them in an expansion, or as some sort of add on. Also to note, a lot of this stuff, particularly new enemies, weapons, animations and gameplay is all relatively easy to build, but takes a long time to? actually fit in with the game, the balancing, actually making it work correctly in the game takes a lot of time to code and test. People bitch about this a lot, but without really considering the realities. The majority of this stuff will be things that they didn't want to add in for aesthetic or story purposes. the Vampire lord for example, is something that doesn't quite fit in to the ES universe, so perhaps it was something discarded early on in development,? but one or two people still thought it would be good, so made it for the game jam. Others, like Goblins, were left out deliberately as they wanted different enemies

If the devs really did all of that IN A WEEK of? just goofing around, then why in the hell didn't they put that much effort when they were WORKING ON THE GAME PROPER? I want spears really bad and more fight? moves.. somehow like Jedi Academy?. Smarter ways to quick kill when your enemy screws up.. for example when the guards try to hack you with their swords from up to down they expose their torsos, perfect time to thrust your weapon.

You let your employees work on making the game good and fun, but make sure to do it so that none of their ingenious ideas can be implemented, keeping the game stale and dull. and then you go and you wave it in our faces with the promise "If you're a good boy we might make one? into a DLC, but probably not".
