age doesnt have to do with much, it has to do with experience, I am 15 but Ive been in huge forest fires with my AR trying to get out of it, In sand storms, In thick mud, In fine dust, In dry conditions, and all it needs to run is ammo and lube. My colt? AR never jammed on me once, even when i drop ammo on the ground load it in a dirty magazine then put it in the gun it still doesnt jam

This? is true, but when it comes down to what I would trust my LIFE with, which is not something to put a price on, its the HK. I don't want to have to worry about water and sand as much when bullets are flying past my face. I had a mad magazine when I first got this pistol, it seemed to help by seating the rounds as far back in the magazine as possible. For the PMR, because it shoots a rimmed cartridge, If you don't seat the bullets back in the magazine its possible to get? rimlock (something i don't have to worry about with my 1911). Rimlock is when the rim from the cartridge on top is behind the rim from the cartridge below it preventing it to move forward and chamber.

This maybe a stupid question, but what is the reason behind tapping the magazine? Even in the manual for my Kel-tec PMR-30 it recommends to tap the magazine every few rounds while loading, I just assume it was to make all 30 rounds fit, since I hear some complaints of people not being able to fit all 30, which I have never had that problem. I just seen you tap the mag? before putting it into the firearm and was curious if there was any purpose behind it..

Hello. I have one almost identical to yours except for the grip safety & mine is made in Nickel. It's a great light? little gun, fun to shoot but I hope it will go up in value. the only bad thing about 1911s is? that they dont hold many rounds but in my opinion i would take a regular sized 1911 in a 45. because the 1911 is very thin and extremely reliable and they dont use polimer handles but sig makes good guns too but i always carry a 1911

I have a Remington 1911 R1 (Remington's take on the A1), which does incorporate some little things of the pre-A1 variant (flat mainspring housing, walnut grips, small safety switch, etc.). I DO want to get a spurred hammer for it. Makes it easier to decock... And? while i'm at it, you CAN decock a 1911. Browning designed it for that purpose. The original prototype did not have a safety switch. He added it because the military wanted him to.

Because the AR platform isn't tried and true? I'd rather have a PRECISION tried and true rifle, the choice of precision warriors as opposed to a stamped steel, assembly line clunker, the choice of third world goat-f#&kers. The only advantage the AK has over the AR is the gas system. The AR is superior in? every other way. That's why our special forces chose the SCAR as their light caliber rifle. It's an AR platform with a gas piston. The M14 is still their bad boy though.

If you're? spending $1000 on it you're probably getting ripped off (ie: red jacket / "sons of guns") but you can spend less than that to get a totally new, high quality original russian made AK-style rifle that has been professionally converted to a pistol grip and refinished. Plus other bells and whistles you may want with it like a low profile gas tube 'optic' rail. Both are good choices, I'd just rather have a simple tried and true Kalashnikov
