There are literally thousands of ideas. This technology has been around since the early 1900's. The only thing that is somewhat unique about this is the ability to connect? and disconnect while driving. Powerlines already cause safety problems and they cost fuckloads of money to maintain (especially in states that experience extreme weather like snow storms and hurricanes) this wouldn't work in most states. This isn't green, it is completely inefficient and the long term costs are massive.

I beg to differ. I remember several thrash bands in the late 80's early 90's covering the pop dross in the charts. I can never? remember the band except they were American but they did a live cover MC Hammer's 'You Can't Touch This' which was utterly brilliant. Nowadays you can cover a song and post it in a few hours, that's why there are so many. Anthrax also did a few hip-hop covers about the same time so it's hardly new.
