Not all integrated graphics are the same. Each new generation of processors have completely different integrated? graphics. Intel HD 4000 is with Ivy Bridge and it's one of the first times that integrated graphics can run most games.

it's the newer version of intel's integrated graphics chip what you most likely ran was an intel HD 3000 which while unable to run the games shown here should still have been able to run Bethesda games before skyrim (with various amounts of tweaking the fallout games being the worst but it still runs F:NV 25ish fps in the wild unless there is many mobs shooting at you and a pretty stable 15 fps in vegas with everything at lowest setting but actor and object render distance) TF2? both portals ETC.

The body of Lenovo-laptops are never made of magnesium! The? body is made out of an extreme resistant plastic with a thin rubber-like coating. But the structure frame inside is often out of magnesium alloy. But I am not sure, if the X-notebooks do have this structure frame. The T-Model and the W-Model have it. R, L and SL not. X - i don't know.

Not that PCs are bad when they do work. I enjoyed Windows. I tend to root for the OS with the most functions rather than the one that is the most polished and smooth running (I have an android phone over an iPhone). However, all of the issues I've had with PCs after spending so much money on them was? not worth it. I spent $960 dollars on an HP Pavilion laptop 3-4 years ago that became a paper weight in 2-3 years. It's a joke and barely runs.

Well, NASA lost almost all of its funding... but that's beside the point. I have had PCs since the age of 3 to the age of 19. I love computers and have been a computer nerd my entire life. Got my first Macbook Pro for college 8-9 months ago, and I will never go back. There's a difference between ARM and Intel architecture. ARM is the new tech. Think about it, all the new tablets like iPad don't heat up like our laptops and still offer 10 hours of battery life. All this is because of ARM. My friend has a W7 tablet (Intel) he complains about low battery life and discomfort in using touch because the software is designed for a mouse? & keyboard so he installed Android x86 on it. I'd love to have a W8 tablet. But only if it's worth the money.

Windows 8 on ARM is not fully functional like the Intel version. You can't play Skyrim or use Adobe CS just because the tablet has Windows.If you've seen the editions, the ARM version is different. And there are so many Windows 7 Intel tablets out there. Does anybody care for them? This is a? misconception which most of people have (including me because even I used to think like that).

Looks OK and with the? Lenovo keyboard it would be great for typing. However, there's still one problem.....It's still a NETBOOK!!! With the same 1Gb of ram and average hard drive. At last give 2gb of ram it'll be in markets in 2012 common. My netbook from 2010 had 1gb and barely ran win 7 starter that came on it. When i put 2gb's in at least it was bearable and at that I still put Ubuntu on it and deemed the 2gb necessary. It looks like it would be great for kids but only if it goes cheap--250..

building your own from scratch is the way to go to be honest, i've built many gaming desktop computers. however, laptops are a different story, when it comes to notebooks, you obviously have to buy one pre-built. Now having experience with computer hardware, i always open up my laptop right after i buy it to check out the design the manufacturer and to be honest Lenovo does a cleaner job then? I beg to differ. Lenovo is Chinese made with parts that fall apart on you. Dell is an American made computer. I have have? a Dell Inspiron that cost around $750 and it runs quick and fast. My bro has a Lenovo & it runs fast but nowhere near as fast. I think it is the way you take care of the computer. I know people with HPs and Sony that over heated too. Yes, the last good Dell computer I had was a dimension 8400 back in 2004. It crashed in 2008. I got an XPS? in 2007 and it was horrible. My friend just recently tried an inspiron and it crashed within the first week. Little to no customer support. The parts are cheap, just don't get one.

Conection, you sometimes lose conectivity and you wont be able to get it back on unless restart - (other colleagues have the same issue) - Besides this annoying fact or having a patchcord around, its a pretty good and solid one

Well that depends on how you approach a tablet. In my case a tablet is invaluable. As a photographer, the ability? to have a light, portable multimedia device with a large enough screen is great. I take it to client consultations and have portfolio with me as well as all my contracts. They sign the tablet and then I immediately email them the copy. Calendaring is better on a tablet. Emailing is better than my phone. Since I do my heavy lifting on my home PC a tablet fits most of my needs nicely.

While I agree that they may not be as revolutionary as the hype suggest I would also argue that they are not a step backwards. More like a step sideways. They have use cases that can be addressed nowhere else. They have simplified and sped up things in my business and I'll never work without one again. Yes they may not be x86 or have a "proper" OS but then again one could argue that laptops lack the power? and storage of "proper" computers because it is not a desktop. It all depends on use-case.

Great Laptop.Hat goes off to the Lenovo design & build team. On the other hand the agency responsible "for people that do" campaign did Lenovo NO Favor by copying the apple marketing campaign to the "t". They used? a similar Voice over! This is a great example of the long debated issue of intellectual property theft by Chinese companies. Lenovo did make it their own, it's beautiful and powerful. It's built upon apple's macbook air. The agency that branded the campaign screwed this up.

Yes, the design is quite nice, definitely one oft the best looking laptops. But there are to many aspects about this laptop keeping me from buying this. First there is the low resolution display. It only has 1366 x 768 pixels! It should have at least 1440 x 900 like the macbook air or even better 1600 x 900 like the Asus Zenbook!? Next thing is, as you can see in the video, the display hinges are extremly unsteady. The display is wobbling through the slightest movement of the laptop.

Really, the Lenovo I used were good, I never had any problems with my Lenovo. I agree that Thinkpad was better made? by IBM! There were Chinese expert saying that CPU Socket from Lenovo was poorly build to compare to IBM. Chinese got problem with they attitude during work. I visited a Chinese state owned nuclear pressurized cylinder manufacture company. People were smoking and playing cell phone. At lunch time, people went drinking or sleeping! Nothing like Japanese!

I wouldn't recommend a Lenovo tab if I was a paid? spokesperson. Look at the user forums on Lenovo's own site and see how sucky their support is - especially with proprietary accessories? and software/firmware updates. The K1 tab appears to be an orphan product 6 months after release.

I don't get it why people want to play on notebooks. I have a vaio? with i7,8gb ram,ssd but Skyrim runs better on my desktop witch is an E7400 with a 4850 radeon. When it comes to games it's mostly on graphic cards and I think notebooks can't deliver that performance yet. But of course it will run, it's just how it runs...

I completely disagree with his tone of voice. The track point is spectacular. I didn't like it at the beginning, but after using it for a while, I really? loved it! He started out insulting the track point, but I found that it's much faster and easier to use than the track pad. The laptop is beautiful in my opinion, with it's sleek sharp complex, yet simple, design. It's function and form go well together. The red lines are beautiful in person, as is it's matted finish.

I'm a bit disappointed with LENOVO for not promoting this product well. It goes on sale tomorrow, 8/23, and I can't even configure my pre-order? I would love to see an essentials only education tablet? from LENOVO, either with a web OS acquisition or current android. Remember, Apple survived because of the education market for a while, this would make for incredible positioning in emerging markets/developing countries, perhaps poorer countries with strong education traditions, my 2 cents ;-)

Nice tablet which I look into buying. Besides business execs in suits and ties, I'd like to see Lenovo promoting the tablet for other users: artists doing sketches and storyboards and then presenting those in game development or design brainstorming sessions, photographers making? use of the SD and USB, directors using the keyboard to write and the pen to sketch shooting layouts. I think there's a large number of people in those fields who would use this tablet.

@SweatyMr1975 yes they do run full windows and they are wireless. I regularly use my ipad for sheet music(I play piano). If i didnt have my ipad i would be printing off 10 sheets a day. I would consider something like the ipad, transformer, or galaxy tab 10.1 too. Unless you dont already own a decent computer ive found it to be a? lot easier while at the instrument.

Listen you need to realize that the tablet capabilities for? these tablet notebooks are not meant to compete. iPad is a capacitative screen unlike this and the ASUS are resistive screens. You can't compare them and you just want to be an apple lover. Relax an iPad is 500 at the lowest and it has no keyboard, a 16 GB capacity..while these have 160-320 GB hard drives, the Asus has a good battery and an attached keyboard. for an iPad keyboard you need to pay another $100...not worth it

The best thing about it for me is that is has a Trackpoint with proper buttons underneath, a much better interface than a trackpad. The rubber bumper is a great idea and adds to? the reliability. Not just kids drop stuff :) When is it coming out in Europe ?

I'm really pleased with mine. Do not trust the reviews that all looked at the AMD models. The version of the i3 they use in this one has two cores and four threads, and way more on-chip cache--thus making it a completely different beast. For kids, of course, the AMD should suffice. This computer just feels really durable. Gonna put in a 7mm SSD and? this thing will hum. As per usual with lenovo, linux supports all the devices/hardware
