@bigwhitehound if I had to pick of any of my rifles ak or Ar I would pick my most recent spikes/BCM build. I can reload the ammo, parts are everyplace around here, I've trained on it more, it's reliable every time I have used it. That said if all I had was my SGL I would feel fine using that as well. It's easier to build an AR from parts with simple tools (hammer barrel wrench, toque wrench) then an AK from parts (barrel press, flat? jig if building from a flat)

Jeff I just picked up the same exact rifle today in a 30-06 and I bought a Nikon prostaff 3-9x40mm scope with weaver grand slam rings.. I noticed that when i tried mounting it the mounting rings are too far? apart seeing how the rail has only one groove on each bracket to mount the rings so the scope will not seat properly. Would you recommend flipping that front rail around so that the groove is seated further back towards the chamber more and hovering over it a little?

And I'm not against Russian hardware -- the AN-94 has one of the best/most advanced operating systems of any modern rifle. Hell, I own a 1942 Mosin 91/30, a Yugo SKS, and a Saiga SGL-31. Lol all? of the AK's since 1990 have had plastic furniture too, so what's wrong with plastic? It's a lot better than wood furniture. The only aspect where the AK is superior is reliability, and even then, the newer western guns have closed the gap while still maintaining accuracy and precision. There's also the rounds: .308/7.62 and 5.56 > 7.62x39 in both accuracy and lethality. The 5.45 is arguably better than 5.56 FMJ, but definitely not the newer MK318 Mod 0 SOST round.

Coming from a Cherokee, I have always found any history very interesting. This is a great history lesson. And as for your defense of "Enslaving other tribes", you can't justify "white" man actions by saying that. I have 2 Lakota Winchester rifles from the Battle of Little Bighorn. They are rare since the Battle of Wounded Knee occured when Lakota (Sioux) were turning in their rifles, and Sitting Bull wanted to be remembered as the last man of his tribe to turn in his rifle. The FAD is a very low damage, high fire rate, slow reloading weapon. I didn't like it until Booman61 ( www.youtube.com ) suggested a class for me. Now I love it with Boo's class!

Up close the FAD kills in 2 head shots in .12 seconds and at range 3 head shots in .18 seconds. The M4A1 kills in .153 seconds up close and the G36C at range kills in .234 seconds. Up close body shots they both kill barely faster M4A1 .01 seconds, G36C .006 seconds but long rang body shots the FAD wins out again against the M4A1 by .084 seconds and slightly fast then the G36C by .012 seconds. I know these are? perfect shot circumstances but the time to kill should be fast. Did I do these wrong?
