Well the thing about the new phones is that the pecs don't really mean anything. If you want to play some HD games or something, then yes, you need a? super mega duper phone for $1500, but if you just want to check your email and maybe call a friend (wonder if anyone uses a phone for phone calls anymore) you can spend a minimum on some android phone and still get most of the stuff all the high end phones get (it may load gmail for 5 seconds longer but you do save a $1000)

I wouldn't be so sure as the Qualcomm MSM8660 + Adreno 220 GPU combo seems to run the Desert Winds demo without any problems, all whistles and bells active.? You'll have to take the slightly higher resolution into account also. Pure speed alone isn't everything.

Sir, your reviews and 'Face-Offs' are what convinced? me to buy my original Galaxy S a couple years ago. I intentionally skipped the S2 generation for the S3. Then, I was caught off guard by Google selling the Nexus (announced today) for so cheap. I'm still waiting for Samsung Unpacked to see the S3 and decide between the two. After watching this... I have lost a lot of faith in the Nexus. Before fanboys attack, I hack all my phones. Official updates are not THAT important to me. (But, its nice)

Wow. That looks terrible! My Rezound has crisp video and great sound. Not sure why the video sucked so much but next time make sure your thumb isn't over the microphone. The Rezound records audio in? stereo (selectable mono) and has another microphone on the bottom left (when held in landscape mode) so you can cover it if you hold the phone by the outer edges.

I haven't used android much, but is there a keyboard that's similar to the iPhone keyboard? I plan on switching from my iPhone 4 to an android phone in about 4? months (probably the Samsung Galaxy S 3 if it is out by then), and if there is one very similar to the iPhone keyboard it would make it easier. Video quality? of the s2 doesnt compare with rezound. Download a vid on s2 then download the same vid in 720p on rezound and compare, you'll CLEARLY see the rezound is superior. People are mislead into thinking s2's display is better because when a standard quality vid is played on an HD display like the rezound's the higher res reveals the imperfections in the video source.

How is the RAZR a "fu*king toy"? A better camera doesnt mean everything.? It runs just as well as the GS2 with a higher resolution screen and even has set higher benchmarks (some factors) than the GS2. Moto provides more durable and reliable hardware as well and the RAZR is one hell of a sexy as phone at 7.1mm with the premium finish, splash guard and drop resistance. Thats bizarre, every Galaxy S and SII I've ever seen or had had a blueish tint to it,? similar to the Razr. Cept some Razrs have a green tint to them. I think Samsung's got some quality control issues to work out with SAMOLED panel construction. Anyhow the scrolling and zooming on the Razr isn't as good as the Galaxy SII, but I wouldn't call it slow. I was messing with an AT&T model GSII and my brother's Razr was neck and neck with it everywhere.

Wow, hands down the video clarity on the 4S is much sharper and clearer. BUT the Razr has the much larger screen and adobe flash and sweet car nav docks and other nice motorola accessories. Both are nice phones, but a larger screen and flash are more important to me. I currently have a iPhone4 that I'm about? to sell on ebay, Im getting a used Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Actually that's not true, my friend has a 3s and hates it! (It's his old phone since he lost his 4) but there's no damage to it. And apple may have the curve in a smoother interface? and better apps. But they've been out longer than android also. One more thing, android has more freedom and capabilities. I think of android as a computer in a phone. Because my Droid X is exactly that and its 2 years old!

4g lte is so overrated I have a 4s and I compared it to my friends galaxy s2 and my dads droid razr max and it beat them both? in browser speed. I don't own either, but I can definitely see? that the SGS2 has MUCH more vivid colors. Tap between keys 2 and 7. You can see the difference in the bushes and trees. Maybe the contrast and saturation was screwed up on the Skyrocket. I can see where you're coming from, though.

It doesn't matter, the Snapdragon processor is over clocked at 1.5GHz, which is still fast, but the 1.2GHz Exynos processor is faster even at 1.2GHz. The Snapdragon tends to? lag more than the Exynos. The speed is really close to each other so u won't really notice much of a difference.

I think the whites are definitely whiter on the Skyrocket. I had an Infuse 4G before I got my Galaxy SII, and the Infuse has the same screen that the Skyrocket does. When I put the two phones side by side, the Infuse's screen is a lot whiter (while the SII's is much more saturated... if that's even possible, since both Super AMOLED+ displays are already mega saturated). It's not a slight? difference either, definitely noticeable.

I just happen to own BOTH these phones. My wife has the Galaxy 2s. I have to say the exact same thing too. The vivid does indeed record the sound? really bad! And the vivid video is indeed better than the galaxy 2s. Reasons also for why the HTC video is better. 1) has a WIDER angle of view. I've always brought Samsung phones and support truly sucks. Amoled is way overrated being what your looking at is unrealistic? colors. The phone is cheap plastic. The only thing Samsung has going for them is marketing. The Vivid is a great all around phone. I will never in my life time buy another Samsung phone, Samsung phone owners forget about timely updates, to get the latest and greatest software you need to buy their latest phone. Samsung sucks I swear.

honestly i've had both samsung and htc ( as well as my beloved Motorola Atrix) and the only thing i miss about my? samsung is the super AMOLED screen. as far as interface tweeks between the two brands. i prefer HTC.

Funny thing is I have BOTH! I have the vivid and my my wife? has the galaxy 2. What I say. I like the HTC camera better than galaxy 2, although galaxy is a good camera too! I get annoyed about fiquring out how to operate some features on the HTC as for galaxy, its more USER friendly. Samsung is a better looking phone and is lighter weight. The specs are about the same for both, 16 gb built in memory w/ micro SD input. 1080 video, 8mp camera both w/ flash. All in? all I like BOTH about the same.

I have the white HTC vivid right now, the phone is amazing I only have 2 complaints. The battery is fucking terrible nd can't even go half a day witout it dying nd thts with minimum use !!! Nd the last is the sound on the phone, very very low audio even wit the beats audio.... Doesn't make any difference really. I love the phone but I think ima have to take it back for he galaxy s2? cuz of the battery issue. If ur gunna have the phone for 2 yrs its gunna suck fuckin balls wit tht battery

Correct, the samsungs are made to flimsy. I owned samsung and they were not good build quality, also the phones were quite faulty, and slow. So i moved to the HTC? Vivid, and this phone is 5x faster than any of the samsungs ive owned. I still need to get my hands on the Galaxy Note. Lets see!

I have had both.. First had sgs2 but tried out the vivid for a week when it came out, I just couldn't deal with how slow it was after having the gs2. Like the design of the vivid better though. Oh and the screen on Gs2 is soo much? better idc what u say.

Love both! But even though SGII colors pop, they are oversaturated. You get more realistic colors and photos on the HTC because of the higher resolution. You want the HTC's colors to POP?...just turn up the? brightness level and it does! haha. I have a Sensation BTW

If he were to face the phone towards the camera it would look nicer, the amoled plus display just has more viewing angle, but mainly HTC is a much better company than samsung, and since both these phones are basically the same, thats what it comes down to. and 60fps on 1080p recording is worth it for me, plus heavier phones are nicer feeling and harder to drop.? the HTC actually has better battery life it just runs multiple things at the same time if you dont close them, internet
