sandy bridge is already out. now while some of the cpus do perform slightly better with the exception of the 980x like maybe 10% better, there are some disadvantages...like no full out pci-e x16 on both cards when in sli or crossfire and no tripple channel. It can use nVidia cards with no problems, if you're using a single card. There are reports of a so-called "SLI Hack" that would allow for two nVidia cards on? an AMD Crossfire motherboard, but I can't personally verify that this works.

It's really relative to what's being displayed on screen. 60 FPS is really all you need though, it's really really smooth. The guy is wrong to say you can't see higher though. Also, if you're running crossfire, you're going to run into microstutter in games once FPS go below 25 - 30? FPS. Keep that in mind.

Didnt see? an answer to your question so; Brands dont matter but the best thing is to match cards from the same series (like say two 5850) because the weakest card will set the overall max performance. Also, and im not 100% sure, it is best to match specifications such as clocks and VRAM. Hope it helps :).

The clear cmos button works perfectly, and this is just as good as the IV formula, only difference is that the IV has memory up to? DDR3-2000 and the north bridge is the newer 890FX. Also another thing I liked about the 790FXTA-UD5 that most of the larger cpu fans fit well without having to overlap empty memory ports

8 months later, but the 5970 im sure as? you probably know by now is already crossfire, and adding another one would be "quadfire". And you can either get a 5970 or a 5870 as the 5970 is just composed of two 5880's, thus making it "trifire"

Yes it would still be quiet. At least alot more quiet than? any of the other aftermarket coolers. SLI can easily be done with good case airflow. I would have no problems using a Corsair H100 in an Antec 1200. However if you have a small case with poor airflow then no you probably wouldn't be able to

is the windows os installed 32 bit or 64 bit .... if its the 32 bit edition then it can only use 4 GB of ram (approx 3.25 usable) .... for the cores issue install a program called CPU-z and on the cpu tab of the program u? will be able to see how many cores are detected ... well if you used a hard disk from an old build u may need to reinstall the os again

was that 4.2ghz overclock stable? i have the ud-7 and it seems to have weird? things with voltage regulation even at 4.0ghz with my 1100t. were you using a 1100t? everyone seems to be having this problem with the ud-5s and 7s.

I don't think you? would get 60 fps in a game you only had 30 fps avg, but i think you would definitely get like 15 fps more, maybe 20, which is great, that's 50%+ increase.

Why on earth would you want 150fps on a screen with a refresh rate of 60Hz? It's just a complete waste of energy. Either this Gigabyte-guy doesn't know what he's talking about,? or he's trying to fool stupid people. I think the real point of Virtual Vsync is to reduce input lag.
