why do u hate it so much ?? i hav this nokia, but i use my new galaxy nexus, and this old, small nokia with symbian is better music player ^^ it has a pilot (i dont know its? name in english) on headphones cable to steer the phone without pulling it from your pocket (its more comfortable than in iPhone, belive me), i miss it ;( if you are one of theese rich stupid kids, you should keep quiet. i can recommend this nokia for music fans :D

I damaged mine with water back in 2010.. Got it through Vodafone AU and thought this phone was THE SHIT hahaha The speakers were brilliant on this device though. It had Boyce Avenue - Change? Your Mind as a pre-loaded song. Good memories.

man i hated this phone. Ive had it for over 2 years now and im so glad i'm gettin a new phone this week. The music player is good and i loved the phones simplicity but the screen was so so bad. After a year of usage I had to keep my phone warm to keep the screen working properly. Every? camera "suck" at taking night photos because of the very poor lighting conditions. A camera set on "auto" will go to a high ISO number to compensate, which will give u grainy pics. Nokia 5800 does have features to change the camera settings so it won't do this. But you have to hold the phone 100 % stationary for 1-2 secs to get a decent picture then. But that's how it's like even with SLR cameras.

Bogus. I changed the broken LCD in my wife's phone, but it didn't fix the problem. Before, there was only a faint glow and a big crack that got brighter when you pressed on it, so I figured it was just the LCD that was? broken, so I replaced the LCD and now there is just the same faint glow, but without the crack. Anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

Than you have to take whole nokia apart and place a complete new cable if you mean this one: poppe-electronics.nl/files/images/1432.jpg And it will cost you around 20 euro's. But if your a bit techical you can also do that yourself.... the nokia? 5800 is really easy to repair compared to other phones.

You mean the cable from the touchscreen in the front panel? Because if that is what you mean you can buy a new touchscreen. because it's easy to replace... but a bit harder than the display. And it will cost you around 10 euro's. But if it's the cable with the vga camera and where your earpiecespeaker is fitted in you have bigger problem! Because that happend to me when i have to do? a second repair.

You can? alter your "notation preferences" by going into Location - Positioning - Notation preferences - Coordinate format. Adjust the notation to the format you desire. Then go into Location - GPS data - Navigation - Options - Set destination and enter the location you want to go to. Set destination - Coordinates - Latitude - enter coordinates making sure you change from North to South if you need to (depending on hemisphere). After hitting OK, you will do the same with Longitude.

Seriously, if Nokia just adds a lot of sizzle such as fancy animations and transitions to the 5800 (even if it's via firmware update), I think it can really compete with the iPhone. But I still prefer the 5800's practicality. I'd rather wait for 0.1 seconds for my contact list to load rather than wait for 1 second? just because a fancy transition kicks in, which is the case on the iPhone.

well in my own opinion my next phone would be either the Nokia N900, it's big, touchscreen, and has a slidable keyboard, and the screen resolution is GOOD, and I heard it's faster. The only disadvantage for some people is it's big size. Another phone which I'd like to get and would recommend everyone is the HTC HD2, same as the? N900 huuuge HD screen, and quite fast, so I like that. If you want a phone which is really really simple to use then no duh get the iphone butnot worth the price

well many people compain about it crashing, but for the past 3 years of me having it still works as new, it's a great and durable phone. But? I won't recommend you buying this now since there are many more newer and better models out there, like the N8 for example. I've got it for my 11th birthday 3 years ago, I've been using it every day, it fell down quite a few times, but it works very well, and I've never ever had it crash before.

I bought this phone two days ago, the box? is totally diffrent (it says Nokia 5800 XM) but, after i research at the internet, it is actually Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition. I did get the car holder pack, charger, earphone (Nokia 5530 XM earphone), string stylus, very very short USB Cable and User manual (in France language, i didn't understand). My best friend has this phone. And she loves it, and she doesn't even know alot of what it does. I watched this video to learn more about it. One thing that she doesn't like about it is that the stylus fell out and got lost. I don't know if it was her fault, though it probably was she is a very forgetful losing? stuff skinny person. here are some reasons 1, the phone is extremely slow (affects the music player). 2, camera sucks. 3, it takes 2-3 seconds to stop a song., 4. very poor file capability cant play flac? or ogg. 5. the touch screen is very insensitive.............................................

Ive had this phone now for 1.5 years and i dont recomend it anymore. At the beginning it was really good, lots of apps and it was fast but now its realy slow. And? there are HTC phones that are amazing phones, i would reccomend and andriod phone
